China's Private Investment Up 5.8 Pct In First 10 Months

China's private fixed-asset investment increased 5.8 percent year on year in the first 10 months of this year, official data showed Tuesday.

The growth rate was lower than the 6-percent increase for the first nine months, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said.

From January to October, fixed-asset investment (FAI) by the private sector reached 31.37 trillion yuan (about 4.73 trillion U.S. dollars), said the NBS.

The amount accounted for 60.6 percent of the total FAI, compared with 60.5 percent for the January-September period.
