China's major industrial firms registered a robust profit growth in the first two months, fresh evidence of a stabilizing economy, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Monday.

The companies reported a 31.5 percent profit increase in January and February from one year earlier, the NBS said in a statement.
